service options & Scope of practice

There is a range of sound-based disorders across age groups. Addressing needs in these areas is my specialty. Examples of my current scope of practice include:

  • Trouble producing sountds or talking clearly? Articulation Therapy is available for all ages, in-person and virtually.

  • Persistant or complex speech difficulties? Tried intervention in the past, but it wasn’t successful? I use a wide range of strategies and I get results. Audio Before & After Example for remediation of R.

  • Suspect Apraxia/Dyspraxia/Developmental Apraxia of Speech? I am PROMPT trained and frequently provide intervention for this complex speech disorder.

  • Late talker? A child who understand everything, but isn’t quite up to speed yet with their verbal language use? I provide Early Intervention for this population.

  • Do you have a specific event coming up where you want to sound your best? A big presentation at work or in school? Interview? Speech in front of a group of people? A Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, or Quinceañera? This is for you. Public speaking support is available for all ages.

  • Do you need a therapeutic consultation, either in-person or virtual? Cosnultations are generally 60-90 minutes and include written suggestions at the end of the session. This is an excellent option for the following purposes:

    • Need to get “up and going” with some tips and strategies to help your child as soon as possible.

    • Would like to develop a home program with periodic guidance from a pediatric therapist.

  • Home Visits based on availability in the surrounding Bethesda area.

  • School Visits at Sidwell Friends Lower School and the surrounding Bethesda area.

Do you have additional questions, want more info on speech therapy in general, or aren’t sure if your child needs speech therapy? Schedule an inital phone consultation. You can consult with me on any speech-language-related matter. If you choose to engage my services the fee is applied toward your first visit.
